My favourite subject is the Scottish landscape. Sketching allows me to observe a subject closely, and provides a sound basis for picture making. I draw and paint using charcoal, graphite, acrylic, watercolour, gouache, and inks.
I like to try out new techniques and materials, so check my blog to see what I'm currently up to. My love of the outdoors means that landscape and nature are themes I return to again and again. I'm also continuing to expand my knowledge of art history and gain greater insight into the work of artists of the past.

My painting of four sardines, and a few others, are now for sale at The Coal Shed which is a wee shop close to the Applecross Inn. I'm delighted to have a few pictures for sale there as it's such a beautiful part of Scotland and I love the wild landscapes of Applecross. They are a real inspiration for my painting....
